Trade-in credit at checkout, not as a separate flow

Worn Wear trade-ins currently happen in a separate place from buying. Let me estimate my old jacket's value inline during checkout and apply it right there as a discount. The friction of two separate transactions is why most people just donate the item instead.

The estimate is the hard part. Condition grading needs a human or at least a photo model. Maybe start with a conservative flat credit by category and let the store adjust up at drop-off.

Flat credit by category is a good v1. Even a rough number beats making it a separate errand.
