The terms for using Pitch Companies

By creating an account you're agreeing to these terms. We've tried to write them the way we'd want to read them — see Privacy Policy for the companion page about data specifically.

Your account

One account per person. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself. Company-rep accounts are verified against a work-email domain match at sign-up — misrepresenting who you work for is grounds for removal.

Your content

You own what you post. By posting an idea, comment, vote, or reaction, you give us the right to display it publicly — that's the entire point of the site, and it's not optional the way data sharing below is. Don't post anything illegal, abusive, or posing as someone else.

Playing fair

No coordinated voting, fake accounts, or attempts to game the rankings — see methodology for how we enforce one vote per verified account at the database level. No scraping the site to rebuild it elsewhere.

Aggregated data sharing

This is the part worth reading closely. Separately from running the site, we may share or sell aggregated, de-identified data about how Pitch Companies gets used — things like which industries or categories draw the most votes, or overall participation trends — to third parties such as market research firms or analytics partners.

That never includes your name, email, password, or any individual account's activity in a form that identifies you. It's patterns across many users, not your data specifically.

It's never a condition of using the site: there's a separate checkbox for it at sign-up (checked by default, since it helps fund the site), and you can turn it on or off anytime from your profile settings. Turning it off doesn't affect anything else about your account.

Ending an account

You can ask us to delete your account anytime — see Privacy Policy. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The fine print

Pitch Companies is provided as-is, without warranty. We're not affiliated with any company listed on the site — see methodology for what that does and doesn't mean. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for damages arising from your use of the site.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
